This was the opening line to Nicolas Sparks' The Notebook as the story's protagonist-Noah Calhoun recounts his lifelong love for Allie. In fact this book was so well written that I caught the movie at the cinema and it sparked off [pardon the pun] my literary mood. The sequel The Wedding is pretty good too. However Cass commented it's too romantic. Hm..personally I still prefer The Notebook. It is definitely one of my all-time favourites.
